Beautiful flat in a perfect, central location

This flat was the perfect accommodation for my family and I! We could not have asked for a better location, and my family was thrilled with all that we had at out doorstep and within walking distance. The flat itself offered more than enough space and was warm, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed lounging in the spacious living room as well as gathering around the island in the large kitchen. The apartment offered all of the amenities that we needed, and then some. It was the perfect spot for an amazing vacation in Edinburgh, and it comes highly recommended from this family! Posted in

Beautiful apartment situated in central Edinburgh

Large two bedroomed apartment with wonderful spacious living-room overlooking George Street. A gas fire kept us warm as did the more than adequate central heating. Wifi and TV were available to entertain. The kitchen was filled with all the necessary ovens , grills and equipment for any level of cooking. The bathroom , unfortunately only one , was a delight to use. The wall decorations , lamps , furnishings etc added to the comfort of this apartment. The final pleasure was looking up towards the Edinburgh Castle at midnight as fireworks lit up the sky. The one disadvantage is that the apartment is on the second floor and there is no lift but if you can climb two flights of stairs you will love it. Posted in

Outstanding apartment in a great location!

I stayed here for about 5 weeks in late December and January, 2013. It is in a perfect location, close to the Castle and the heart of shopping in Edinburgh. We were fortunate enough to be here for Hogmanay, and it has great views of the Castle. Getting around was easy - either walking (even in winter) or catching one of the many buses close by. I love to cook, and the kitchen is well equipped and very spacious. It's great for entertaining. My daughter and son-in-law ate most evening meals with me, and we always started with our drinks and appetizers around the kitchen island. Morris was very pleasant to work with and took care of any minor problems that arose during my five week stay. I hope to stay again! Recommended for: Tourists without a Car Posted in

The only place to stay in Edinburgh!

My husband and I had the distinct pleasure of renting this HUGE apartment, in the very heart of downtown Edinburgh, for a month beginning end June 2011. Talk about well equipped and comfortable, this place has it all with so many more pluses that words can describe. This apartment is truly the size of most condos the in US. The bedrooms had beautiful furniture touches, and the beds were soooo comfy with luxurious sheets, pillow cases, throw pillows and spreads. The bathroom was large with a state-of-the-art shower and gigantic tub. The combined living/dining room was next to heaven with sofas made to sink in, as well as a wide-screen HD TV with a large selection of channels. Next I have to cover my abfabfav room: the gourmet kitchen. And, believe me, it has everything and anything you could possibly want in the way of cooking, baking, and serving. I consider myself a novice gourmet cook, and this kitchen had it all! Katrina the housekeeper was a true gem. A very sweet, kind, and considerate individual who never failed to miss the weekly apartment cleaning. Near the end of our stay, we finally had the pleasure of meeting Morris the owner. Whatta guy! A true world traveler and entreprenur who knows how to make people feel welcomed and comfortable in his abode. Location, Location, Location truly describes this apartment. Close to everything and walking distance to about 95% of downtown Edinburgh. Restaurants, pubs, salons, drug and grocery stores, open air markets, bus station, train station, and department stores no more than 30 seconds to 10 minutes walking distance. Not to mention about 5 bus lines that stop one-half block from the apartment. From the bedroom window you can see the famous castle. The views from all the other windows (including the bathroom!) are also great. We have recommended this place to countless friends. Needless to say, WE'LL BE BACK! Amazing... and I travel a LOT

Every time I book a property on VRBO, I go through that little "uh oh" moment of worry... because you never know exactly what you're going to get, or how responsive the owner/caretaker will be. It's not like you're dealing with a hotel chain, where at least you have a corporate office to call with any complaints. Any nervousness I had before arriving at this flat simply evaporated when I walked in the door. The owner has maintained a beautiful 2 BR/1 BA apartment that feels like home. The shower is amazing... steam, with great water pressure. Big bath tub. Modern kitchen. Comfortable sofa and sitting area. And the location is right at the corner of George Street, so you're in the center of everything, with views of the castle. The property description on VRBO doesn't do this flat any justice. I was in love, and I can't wait to book this property again the next time I go to Edinburgh.
